There is no easy way to do this.

Personally, I think the drum works better than just fine.

I have never had a problem, they will lock up if/ when you want. They are extremely easy to work on and adjust.

The brake shoes last as long as pads, and are actually cheaper to replace.

The easiest way to upgrade your braking perfomance would be to swap front end components from another CB to get double discs up front. I plan on using these parts from an '82 CB650 to upgrade my '79 CB750K.

A mechanic.
There is NO %26quot; Cheep but safe%26quot; way to do that. It can be done but if you pay someone else to do it , it's gonna cost ya.

First u will need a new swingarm, a rotor, a rear brake caliper, a rear mastercylinder, a brake line and oh yeah the proper rear wheel. So by the time yo spend money on all that..u r better off trading bikes. And the drum brakes on CB 750's are really very good brakes. Chrome plate the brake drum and lace it to a new wheel and it will look pretty damm good. : )
first off get rid of the 16 inch wheel.

the only way to do it would be to get the rear wheel swingarm assembly from a later model 750 and put the hole works on your bike. but you would still need welding done on your frame to be able mount the rear brake caliper. it really is more hassel then it is worth. i say put a stock 18 inch rear wheel on it will look better and ride better. add a second disc brake up front so you have duel discs then you will not need the rear brake
not worth it
I agree it's probably not worth it for what little you'd gain, but if you found a 75-78 CB750F (the super sport model) the parts should interchange without any hassle at all. They had a rear disc to start with. The 75-76 had spoke wheels and the 77-78 had the Comstar wheels.
fire cracker and bikini nailed it for ya the later f model parts should bolt right up but the stock drum brakes have always been lawded as some of the best in the industry ifn it aint broke don't fix it . spend all that money on gas man
