How do i change the rear brake drum shoes?
if you go to advance auto parts and get a brake spring tool it will help you in doing this, other wise it may be hard to get the springs back on right, and do one side at a time so you have the other side to look at for reference if needed, good luck.

you didn't ask about bleeding them, for that you need a second person to pump them up and one to loosen the bleeder screw on them, and never let the master cylinder go low on fluid while your doing this, good luck on it.

if you are like me and don,t have brake tools then you will need a pair of plyers to hook the springs. you should have a can of brake cleaner too.
Yes you will need allen wrenches and brake pliers. Go to www.autozone.com click on repair info you can print repair info
Go to sears, they have a kit for like 25-30 dollars. You need the hold down spring tool, which is in the kit.Depending on how badly rusted the drums are, sometimes you can smack them with a hammer and they will be free, others you will have to use a brake spoon to back off the star wheel adjusted from the acess on the backing plate. And just keep a good pair of diagonal pliers and needle nose vice grips and you should be fine.Just work on one side at a time, so you can always use the other side as a reference.Gl
